Himachal Pradesh vacation Itinerary – Places to Visit in Himachal Pradesh

Day 1: Arrive in Shimla

Start your 10-day Himachal Pradesh tour by arriving in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. After checking into your hotel, take a leisurely stroll around the Mall Road and Ridge. Spend the evening exploring the local markets and trying out some of the local delicacies. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 2: Shimla Sightseeing

Start your day with a visit to the Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Then, head to the Viceregal Lodge, which was once the residence of the British Viceroy of India. After that, visit the Christ Church and St. Michael’s Cathedral. In the afternoon, take a ride on the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train and enjoy the scenic views of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali

Day 4: Manali Sightseeing

Day 5: Manali to Dharamshala

Today, drive from Manali to Dharamshala, which is about 250 km away. On your way, stop at Palampur and explore its tea gardens and colonial-era buildings. Day 6: Dharamshala Sightseeing

Start your day with a visit to Dalai Lama Temple Complex, which is home to several Buddhist monasteries and temples. Then, head to Bhagsunag Waterfall and take a dip in its cool waters. Day 7: Dharamshala to Dalhousie

Today, drive from Dharamshala to Dalhousie, which is about 140 km away. On your way, stop at Chamba Valley and explore its many temples and monuments. Day 8: Dalhousie Sightseeing

Day 9: Dalhousie to Amritsar

Today, drive from Dalhousie to Amritsar, which is about 250 km away. On your way, stop at Pathankot Town and explore its many temples and monuments. Upon reaching Amritsar, check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring its many gurudwaras and monuments like Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh Memorial Park. Overnight stay in Amritsar

Day 10: Departure

Start your day with a visit to Wagah Border Ceremony where you can witness an amazing display of patriotism by both Indian soldiers as well as Pakistani soldiers at this border crossing point between India & Pakistan . After that , you can explore some more places like Hall Bazaar , Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum , etc . Later , you can proceed for departure from Amritsar .
