Goa Itinerary – Top Things to do & Places to visit in Goa

Day 1: Arrive in Goa

On your first day in Goa, you should arrive at the airport and check into your hotel. There are many great hotels to choose from in Goa, ranging from budget to luxury. You can also opt for a homestay or a beach hut if you want to experience the local culture. After settling in, you can explore the nearby beaches and take a stroll along the shore.

Day 2: North Goa Sightseeing

On your second day in Goa, you should explore the northern part of the state. Start your day by visiting the famous Fort Aguada, which was built by the Portuguese in 1612. After that, you can visit some of the other popular attractions such as Anjuna Beach, Vagator Beach, Chapora Fort, and Baga Beach. You can also take a boat ride on the Mandovi River and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Day 3: South Goa Sightseeing

On your third day in Goa, you should explore the southern part of the state. Start your day by visiting some of the popular attractions such as Colva Beach, Palolem Beach, and Varca Beach. You can visit Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary to spot some exotic animals such as leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, etc. After that, you can visit some of the famous temples such as Mangueshi Temple and Shanta Durga Temple to get a glimpse of traditional Hindu architecture.

Day 7: Spice Plantations and Churches

On your seventh day in Goa, you should explore some of the spice plantations and churches. You can visit Ponda Spice Plantation to learn about different spices grown in Goa such as cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, etc. After that, you can visit some of the famous churches such as Se Cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus to get a glimpse of Portuguese architecture.

Day 8: Waterfalls and Beaches

On your eighth day in Goa, you should explore some of the waterfalls and beaches. You can visit Dudhsagar Falls to witness one of India’s highest waterfalls cascading down from a height of 310 meters. After that, you can visit some of the popular beaches such as Anjuna Beach, Vagator Beach, Chapora Fort Beach, Baga Beach to relax and soak up some sun.

Day 9: Casinos and Museums

On your ninth day in Goa, you should explore some of the casinos and museums. You can visit one of the many casinos located along Panaji’s waterfront to try your luck at gambling games such as roulette or blackjack. After that, you can visit some of the museums such as Naval Aviation Museum or Museum Of Christian Art to learn about Goan history and culture.

Day 10: Departure

On your tenth day in Goa, it’s time to say goodbye! Before leaving for home or your next destination make sure to pick up some souvenirs from one of the local markets or shops for friends back home!
